A world-famous, upmarket area where people come to see and be seen. Because it is protected from the wind, Clifton is especially popular on days when the southeasterly wind is blowing.
Beach. Off Victoria Rd. Cape Towns most glamorous beach, it is packed in season with consequent parking problems. Granite boulders divide the beach into four separate coves. Clifton features safe bathing and bodysurfing (beware - strong undertow), a resident surf lifesaving club, cold seawater and basic facilities at Fourth Beach car park. Drive along Victoria Rd from Sea Point, or take the bus.
