Afscot Financial Services was formed in October 1999 by the current members Lynn & Alex Easton.
Alex (The Scot of Afscot) has been involved in the Insurance industry for the past 24 years initially in Scotland and then employed by Old Mutual for 19 years. Alex won the General Managers Award at Old Mutual and was one of 6 people selected by Old Mutual to go to USA on a business trip with a view to improving service standards at Old Mutual. He was a Divisional Manager in KZN until 1999; when he opted to take a voluntary exit from the corporate world after being the top achiever for the duration of his career, to initiate a career, as an Entrepreneur.
Lynn (The Af of Afscot) has specialized in Short Term Insurance for the past 13 years having climbed the ranks in the corporate world in Durban she decided, together with Alex, to take the plunge and initiate a specialist Short Term Insurance Brokerage to service the Hospitality Industry.
Both Alex and Lynn are accredited Financial Service Providers (FSP’s) in the Insurance Industry and have received Unit Standard Certificates from Damelin.
