Blaauwbosch is an exclusive Big 5 private game reserve in the malaria-free Eastern Cape. The reserve offers a unique and private wildlife experience where guests can relax in comfort. Luxurious suites are spacious, air-conditioned and have their own dressing rooms, full bathrooms, personal bathrobes, verandahs and mountain views of the beautiful Eastern Cape. Enjoy excellent game viewing including the Big 5 (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard) as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, antelope, abundant birdlife and rare flora on game drives with professional rangers. Our walk-and-stalk cheetah encounters are a highlight for many. Enjoy fine dining with the best of local wines, with meals prepared by the resident chef. For many a walk-and-stalk cheetah encounter is the highlight of their time in Africa. A guided walk with a ranger; bush breakfast or private dining experience can be arranged onrequest. 
Services / Facilities
Rates include all meals and activities. Drinks and any additional purchases are for the guests account. All suites have private verhandahs form which to enjoy the stunning scenery and absorb the absolute silence of the Great Karoo. A laundry service is available.

Take the R75 route from Port Elizabeth to Graaff-Reinet. Travel for 115km then turn left at the Blaauwbosch sign. Travel for 2km on gravel to the Blaauwbosch thatched entrance gate. The nearest national airport is situated in Port Elizabeth. There are daily flights to and from the major centres in the country. Top car rental companies are represented at the airport and good maps of the territory are available. By prior arrangement guests may also be collected from the airport.
